News with Senpavo! Week 3

Hello everyone, this is Senpavo writing and welcome to my article series, News with Senpavo! Tune in every Sunday for more news. Read last week’s news here.

This week has been quite slow, that’s for sure, but there is some interesting news! Persona 5, Nintendo Labo and Hellblade?! Let’s find out together.

Persona 5 S to be revealed soon!

Rumours for the mysterious Persona 5 S have been circulating for a while now, but Atlus has finally launched a website for it. There isn’t much information available at this time, all we know is that we are getting some exciting news on the 25th of April. You can find the website here.

Nintendo Labo VR is coming, with some surprises!

This week, Nintendo has revealed that the Nintendo Labo VR kit will be usable with Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.  This will bring a new experience altogether with the latest Mario game as new adventures will be available. As for Breath of The Wild, the entirety of the game will be playable with the kit. Other developers have expressed their interest in it, such as Monolith Soft, but no official news has been released. Those updates for the two games will be available on the 25th of this month.

Ubisoft is putting an end to the Starlink toys?!

In a statement released this week, Ubisoft has declared that the production of Starlink’s toys has been halted. The reason behind that is that the game failed to meet sales expectations. They also stated that all future pilots, weapons and ship will be digital only, along with new missions and activities in future updates. VGChartz estimates that the Nintendo Switch version has sold a little more than half a million (most likely due to the addition of Fox and his crew), while the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One version sold around 100,000 copies each.

Bioware’s in trouble.

In an article by Kotaku, numerous Bioware employees stated that they had tons of health problems as a result of the schedule for Anthem. That wasn’t the only problem, as the game engine used, Frostbite, wasn’t the best of choices and EA’s terrible mismanagement for the game wasn’t making things easier.

I personally hope that the studio can get back on its tracks, to the golden days of the Mass Effect Trilogy and the glorious Dragon Age games. The studio is completely capable of creating masterpieces, but one can only hope.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice coming soon!

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a Horror Action-Adventure game that released back on PC and PS4 back in 2017 and on the Xbox One in 2018. Now, in 4 more days, you can play it on the go on Nintendo Switch. I’m very happy that I can now play this game on my primary game system. This game is a sign that Microsoft may ask more of their partners to port their games onto Nintendo Switch. We already got Minecraft, Cuphead, and Hellblade, so we’ll just have to see what happens next.
